What is Bowen Therapy?

Bowen Therapy, also known as Bowen Technique was developed from the amazing work of the late Mr Thomas Ambrose Bowen in Australia. Taught and practiced all over the world since the 1980’s, Bowen Therapy is now one of the fastest growing natural therapies of current times.

The Bowen technique is a holistic approach to pain relief and healing that is based on the recognition that the underlying cause or source of many musculoskeletal, neurological, neuromuscular and other health or pain problems can be found in the form of an imbalance of the energetic and facial systems of the body.

Bowen Therapy is a very gentle and non-invasive, but extremely powerful, soft connective tissue hands-on therapy that addresses whatever is out of balance within the body. It works so well and quickly because it works on stimulating the flow of water throughout the body – water which carries energy around the body through the soft connective tissue (Fascia).

The Bowen Therapy addresses pain and restriction anywhere in the body. A key element of Bowen Therapy is that it is a holistic therapy, it aims to balance the body as a whole, not just the presenting symptoms.

This unique therapy encourages the body’s own healing systems to resolve dysfunctions and restore musculo-skeletal balance, and because of its non-invasive nature, can be used prior to or alongside training exercises and programs. It also helps to achieve a “whole body balance”, i.e. of mind and body, which greatly assists in improvement and maintenance of performance.

Linda Turrini

Scientific Naturopathy and Wellbeing Sciences
Trained in Craniosacral Therapy and Reflexology
Qualified Smart Bowen Therapist
Co-Founded and Established the Homeodynamic Bowen Therapy

Linda’s journey into the wellbeing sciences started in 2016 when she arrived in Australia. In a very short time, she accomplished a wide variety of certificates and diplomas, dedicating herself to achieving a complete understanding of all the aspects of a psychobiological approach to health, including manual therapy and scientific naturopathy.

The Smart Bowen Therapy she encountered in Australia was the most effective therapy she ever found, which brought about a real tangible change in her body. Linda then embarked on the path of study to become a professional  therapist. After working with many experienced mentors, she commenced her career working in an exclusive women’s health club. Thanks to the ability she
developed to make such a big difference in the quality of life of her clients and both language and academic skills she attained from her previous University studies in Italy, Linda was motivated to embrace a new life’s mission: creating accessible material to diffuse this amazing healing tool with as many people as possible across the globe.

Moving back to Europe, she then co-founded the Homeodynamic Bowen Therapy: this is a unique elaboration and expansion of the Australian technique of manual therapy, which combines life-style consultancies with specific individualized exercise and stretching programs, so that the person can take charge of their life and achieve a new Homeodynamic balance, becoming better than ever.
